On the wall of the Korean War memorial, these words are etched and no phrase rings truer. In October I had the opportunity to visit some of the most humbling places that I have ever been to and probably ever will have the fortune of visiting. Washington D.C. is a great place filled with history and energy that can only be felt at our nation's capitol. Everywhere there are reminders of the leaders that shaped our country and made this land what it is today. Outside of the hustle and bustle of the Mall is Arlington cemetery, a place where the true heros of this country are buried and honored. Being in this place and seeing the unending landscape of white stone memorials, you feel a combined sense of honor, sadness, and incredible gratitude.
Today on Veterans Day I would like to say thank you to those who have served, are serving, and have died for this country. Without you, your dedication, your commitment, and your sacrifices there would be no land of the free. Thank you!
